Breathing Spaces

Breathing Spaces is passionate about working with clients to create not just a house, but a lifestyle. We work closely with you throughout the process – from organising one cupboard to re-decorating your whole home – to ensure you are a participant and not just a bystander in the development of your new lifestyle.

With a commitment to sustainable design principles, Breathing Spaces recommends the use of environmentally friendly products and services and is able to source these for you.

Jo Atkinson

Using her skills and knowledge gained from years of organising systems, processes and work spaces, both in the corporate and community sectors, Jo started her Interior Design & Organising business - Breathing Spaces - in 2007 to help people to organise their home spaces.

Helping people to organise and style their homes is Jo’s passion and her signature style is using pieces that people already have in their homes to create beautiful and personal spaces that reflect those who live there.

Jo is committed to sustainable design principals and encourages clients to use eco-friendly materials and to consider reusing items in new ways rather than always purchasing new ones.

Jo blog, “A Little Bird Told Me Where” is a celebration of eco-friendly, handmade, unique and beautiful things from all over Australia and supports local artists, designers and retailers.

Jo lives with her husband and three children in Brisbane and runs her Interior Design & Organising business, Breathing Spaces from home.

Jo is a member of the Australasian Association of Professional
